The magazine I picked up to read over break had an article in it about Noir photography. This technique or style is modeled after old Hollywood (or noir) films, recreating the dramatic black and white effects. I made sure to use interesting lighting, having my model pose in front of a single lamp. I thougth this helped recreate the dramatic noir style. I also kept in mind lighting tips learned from our field trip (hair lighting).

i think that you could have sharpened her hair, on the right side, on the third picture, if you know what i'm talking about! just a suggestion,
