Equivalence 2


This is the second photograph in my series. It is supposed to represent independence. I made sure to dress my subject in a color that contrasted greatly with the background. I felt that by showing a strong difference between the girl and her surroundings was a good way to represent independence.

i love this picture as well. it truly embodies the idea that a picture can speak a thousand words. looking at it, i don't see independence as much as i do the contrast between humanity and nature- the girl seems so small in comparison to the trees. and in the grand scheme of things, we are small compared to the world around us. but the beauty of your picture is that everyone can derive their own meaning from it, which is awesome. my only criticism is that her white shirt is really white which is kind of distracting, as is the tree in the top left corner because it is lighter than the rest.

incredible. you have a very strong composition and like crystal said an intense contrast. still weaksauce compared to mine though :) haha sike but seriously this works!
